Theo spoke with Shianne D Sampson, Global Head of Sales Development at New Relic. She explains her unique approach to Sales Leadership.
Shianne has a huge amount of sales experience. She started working for a small advertising agency in Northern California. Her career pivoted in 2009 and began working for the startup Yelp. She was there for over six years, building and founding yelp university. In this time she trained over 3000 salespeople and hundreds of sales leaders. Since then she’s been working for startups all over the world and has been helping to grow sales teams.
Shianne loves the craft of sales, her passion shines through everything she does. She is very much a full-cycle sales leader, excelling at teaching. She hires for A players, someone who is gritty and tenacious. They hit their metrics and go above and beyond to succeed. They are going to succeed with or without you, but with you, they’re going to blow it out of the water.
