Ellie spoke with Sara, Global Director Sales Enablement at Templafy. She explains her unique approach to enablement.

Sara believes a successful sales admin team is a group of individuals passionate about enabling and coaching. They want to talk to people around the organisation and build consensus. She stresses that it’s critical they understand the world of the sales reps they support. They need to understand what a sales conversation looks like. Sara thinks people can have different perceptions coming into sales. She works to get everyone on the same page, highlighting the importance of onboarding. 

Onboarding gives fluency in the products you’re selling and who your buyers are. She believes it’s key to understand how other areas of business impact what the sales team is doing. For example product impacts sales in a big way. New products need to be taken out to customers, requiring marketing alignment. 

Sara understands alignment is one of the biggest challenges in sales. You have so many different segments, communication is the solution. She is data-focused but appreciates the qualitative aspects of training.
